Miss Vetter

Welcome to 6th Grade!

                               Expectations

Students are expected to do their best work in class and for homework. Students should want to learn and have fun while doing it!  If a student does not succeed to their satisfaction on a homework, he or she is expected to correct that homework for a more satisfactory grade.  Students are to participate in class and keep up with all of their 6th grade studies.  He or she should ask questions and seek help when needed.

                              Class Rules

*Come to class prepared with all materials needed for class and success
*Be respectful to yourself, others, and teachers
*Please raise your hand when you have something to contribute to class discussion
*Have fun in 6th grade!

                             Grading

Students will have homework Monday thru Thursday. Homework is generally not given on weekends and homework packets are sent home before the end of the 5 week marking period. Homework turned in by the due date can be corrected to receive a higher grade, however, overdue assignments cannot be corrected to receive a higher score.  Students may not make up missed assignments from the first 5 weeks after the new 5 week marking period has started.
Homework coupons are awarded to students who never miss homework deadlines during the 5
week marking period.  The homework coupon entitles them to a night off from a given subject homework assignment and an automatic grade of 100 for the assignment. Let's all shoot for the stars and get lots of homework coupons in each subject!
